What Should I Expect?

IMG_1543A community of warm, caring people, engaging music and traditional worship.  God’s word preached in a compelling way and an opportunity to experience God.  You are our guest, and our goal is to make you feel welcome.

Expect God.  We can’t change lives but we believe Jesus can.  We expect the presence of God in all our gatherings.   Where God is present there is joy, healing, hope and life.  We come together to meet and worship and to be changed by God’s presence.

Expect acceptance and love.  At St. Philip Lutheran you will be accepted and loved no matter what.  You can be yourself.   At the foot of the cross all are accepted as equals.

What should I wear?  You wear whatever is comfortable for you.  Business clothes or casual dress – you’ll find it all here.  You’re always welcome regardless of your clothing style.  2013-06-02 09.36.03

Will I be expected to do something I don’t want to do?  No.  You are our guest.  We will not make you stand upin front of everybody as a first time guest.  There are a lot of great people to meet and a lot of great things happening on a Sunday morning but the level of your participation is totally up to you.  We offer the Lord’s Supper every Sunday   and you are welcome to receive as you wish. On the last Sunday of every month an anointing and prayer for healing time is held 15 minutes before our 9:30 service.

After our service we invite you to visit our welcome table for information on SPLC and a few gifts.  Then join us in our Family Life Center for coffee, snacks and more  fellowship.  We look forward to worshiping with you and getting to know you.
