Lake Kids Ministry Weekend Food Program

Each Friday a group of volunteers gather on the church campus (in the Family Life Center) and bag foodstuffs that are distributed to 3 local Public Schools so that designated children in need can bring 6 meals home for meals over the weekend. Food products are provided through cooperation with Lake Cares Food Pantry. Recently the volunteers packed and delivered 93 Food Bags (558 meals!) You can help! Be a volunteer to pack food bags on a Friday! Be a person to help with the Lake Kids Ministry Leadership Team (keeping things organized).

Lake Cares Food Pantry (St. Philip partners with Lake Cares)

St. Philip members help feed the hungry by bringing non-perishable food items that are brought to Lake Cares Food Pantry, serving local families each week.  We also make monetary donations and members serve as volunteers there.  Lake Cares distributed thousands of pounds of food to Lake County clients last year (2018)

Thanksgiving Day Dinner Every Year!

In 2018 we served over 145 people on Thanksgiving Day. Each Thanksgiving, St. Philip opens its doors to the community.  Everything is prepared by our volunteers.  We set a festive room with all the fixings for a traditional, sit-down Thanksgiving meal.  No fee, reservations required.

Mt. Dora Bike Fest 2018: Serving our Community!

In Fall 2018 our SPLC Outreach Tent served as a water and nutrition station for the Mt. Dora Bike Fest! SPLC volunteers staffed the station!
